No. Rockstar Games has not changed the date since 6 November 2025. Grand Theft Auto VI is still dated 19 November 2026, and the most recent GTA VI post on Rockstar’s own Newswire is “An Extended Look - Now Playing”, from 27 August 2026. Nothing in it touches the date.
That answer stops being true the moment Rockstar changes it. So here is the record of every date the company has actually given, and the ten-second check that lets you verify this page instead of trusting it.
EVERY DATE ROCKSTAR HAS GIVEN
December 2023. The first trailer ends with “coming 2025”. No month, no day.
May 2024. Take-Two narrows it to Fall 2025.
2 May 2025. First delay. New date: 26 May 2026. Rockstar apologises and says it needs more time to finish the game to the standard people expect.
6 November 2025. Second delay. New date: 19 November 2026. Same reason given. This is the last time the date moved.
18 and 24 June 2026. Pre-order announcements. Date unchanged.
6 and 27 August 2026. “An Extended Look” announced, then released. Date unchanged.
Two delays in three years. Both announced by Rockstar itself, on its own channels, on the day. Neither was leaked accurately first.
THE TEN-SECOND CHECK
Open rockstargames.com/newswire. Look at the most recent post tagged Grand Theft Auto VI. If it is not about the release date, the release date has not changed.
That is the entire method. You do not need this page, or any page. You need thirty seconds and the company’s own newsroom.
WHAT DOES NOT COUNT AS A DELAY
An insider account saying they have heard something.
A screenshot of a shop listing with a different date. Retailer placeholders are wrong constantly and mean nothing.
A video thumbnail with a new year on it.
A Take-Two earnings call that repeats the existing date. Repeating a date is not changing it.
An article whose only source is another article.
If a delay claim cannot be traced back to Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive saying it themselves, it is not a delay. It is someone’s traffic.
WHAT IS STILL OPEN
The PC version. It has never been announced, so it cannot be delayed. Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick has been quoted talking about consoles being served first and about PC being a large share of sales for a major launch, but commentary is not an announcement. No PC date, and no PC window, has ever been given. Any PC date you have seen is a guess.
