Every GTA 6 character Rockstar has officially named

Rockstar Games has published biographies for eight GTA 6 characters on its own site, under the Only in Leonida section. Most coverage treats this material as though it barely exists, then fills the gap with invention. It is worth reading what is actually there.

Everything in the next two sections is Rockstar's, summarised. Everything after that is clearly marked as something else.

Jason Duval. Raised among grifters and criminals. Served in the Army, which Rockstar frames as an attempt to get away from a difficult adolescence. Ended up in the Keys working for local drug runners, and is described as wanting an easier life than the one he has. Rockstar says meeting Lucia could turn out to be the best or the worst thing that has happened to him.

Lucia Caminos. Taught to fight by her father from the moment she could walk. Went to the Leonida Penitentiary for fighting on behalf of her family, and got out through luck rather than process. She is newly released and set on making only calculated moves from now on. Rockstar says a life with Jason could be her way out.

Those two paragraphs are the entire official biography of the two protagonists. Every age, every family detail, every romance timeline and every backstory beyond this is somebody's invention.

Cal Hampton. A friend of Jason's and, like him, an associate of Brian Heder. Rockstar describes him as most comfortable at home, drinking and listening in on Coast Guard radio traffic, with a taste for conspiracy.

Boobie Ike. A Vice City figure who converted a street reputation into legitimate businesses: real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. Rockstar frames his real investment as his partnership with Dre'Quan Priest in the Only Raw Records label.

Dre'Quan Priest. Described as a hustler rather than a gangster, who dealt on the street while trying to get into music. He has now signed the Real Dimez and is moving on from booking acts into Boobie's club.

Real Dimez. A duo, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since school. Rockstar says they turned shaking down local dealers into a rap career and a heavy social media presence, had an early hit with a local rapper called DWNPLY, and are now signed to Only Raw Records.

Raul Bautista. An experienced bank robber who recruits people willing to take large risks. Rockstar's own description flags that his appetite for risk keeps escalating.

Brian Heder. A drug runner from the older Keys smuggling era, still moving product through his boat yard with his third wife Lori. He lets Jason live rent-free in one of his properties in exchange for help with local shakedowns.

The same page attaches each character to a place. Six are named: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga.

That is a list of regions, not a map. Rockstar has still never published a map size, and no figure in circulation comes from Rockstar.

Two things in the 27 August footage become clearer once you have read the official biographies.

The job where Boobie Ike sends Jason and Lucia to collect a package from dealers sits naturally alongside a character whose official description is a street reputation converted into businesses. It does not tell you what is in the package. It still does not.

The sequence where a man arrives from a bank robbery, a chase follows, and the pair are told they have passed a test and are hired, matches Raul Bautista's official description as a bank robber who recruits people prepared to take risks. Rockstar has not stated that the man in the footage is Raul. The overlap is strong and worth naming, and it is still an inference, not a confirmation.

No ages for any character.

No confirmation that Jason and Lucia are romantically involved. Rockstar's wording points that way, a life together, the best or worst thing to happen to him, without ever stating it.

No voice actors named for anyone.

No antagonist identified.

No indication that anyone other than Jason and Lucia is playable.

No connection stated to any previous Grand Theft Auto character or storyline.
